Fasting & Praying
FOR RELIEF
Fasting, by definition, is abstaining from food and some drink for a period of time in order to focus your thoughts on God and strengthen your relationship with Him. It also has the power to change our hearts and renew our faith. No matter where you are, or what your circumstances are, you have the power to pray and fast especially during this global pandemic.
For all whose health may permit, let us fast, pray, and unite our faith once again. Let us prayerfully plead for relief from this global pandemic. I invite all, including those not of our faith, to fast and pray on Good Friday, April 10, that the present pandemic may be controlled, caregivers protected, the economy strengthened, and life normalized.

THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS
Inspired by the faith leaders calling for this day of fasting and prayer, we here at Beliefnet are asking you to join us this Good Friday as we fast and pray for worldwide relief focusing on:
the present pandemic to be controlled
caregivers to be protected
for the economy to be strengthened
for life to be normalized
Can’t go without food? Think of something else you can sacrifice, and together, we can unite our faith in prayer this Good Friday.
